Entrance of ‘南埕衖事 Tainan Lòng Story’ is inside the alley between no. 38 and no. 40 on the Chiang Kai Road.
The gelato shop, beyond your imagination, not only provides desserts and souvenirs but also represents a must-visited place in Tainan. It was renovated from an old house and given its brand new life combined with the modern and traditional design of Taiwan.
The white multidimensional maze you stay is designed by Japanese Architect Sou Fujimoto. Also, it’s the only design concept that based on the street of alley and lane in Tainan. Moreover, you can visit the ticket booth for guided tour in the lobby of “南埕衖事Tainan Lòng Story”
「南埕衖事 Tainan Lòng Story」is composed by four characters in Mandarin. On the other hand, this is a kind of space that conveys the idea of telling the story of alley and lane in Tainan.“南”represents Tainan.“埕”means plaza.“衖”, originated from the old character form of alley and lane in Mandarin, pronounces the same as“Long”. Lastly,“事”means story. Finally, “南埕衖事 Tainan Lòng Story” concludes the variety of expectations.

あなたがいる場所の白い立体迷路は、日本人建築家の藤本壮介氏(Sou Fujimoto)が設計したもので、世界で唯一で台南の路地を概念に基づいて設計された作品「衖 Lòng Stairs」です。「南埕衖事Tainan Lòng Story」のロビーに行って入場券を購入し、ガイドツアーに参加することができます。
「南埕衖事」は4つの中国語の言葉から構成されています。「南」は台南、「埕」は広場、「衖」は路地の中国語の古い言葉、「事」は物語であり、台南の路地概念に基づいて設計された台南のストーリーを語る空間です。「衖」の中国語発音はLongと同じであり、中国語の意味を引き継いでTainan Lòng Storyと名付けられました。
